On February 8 and 9, Florence will come alive with the magic of its historic Carnevale celebrations. With origins tracing back to the Medici court, this annual event beautifully blends tradition, elegance, and joy. The festivities begin on February 8 with the dazzling Gran Ballo Regine a Palazzo in the iconic Salone dei Cinquecento of Palazzo Vecchio, featuring Renaissance-inspired costumes, a gala dinner, and artistic performances. There are still tickets available and we will be happy to make all arrangements
The following day, February 9, the historic center transforms into a vibrant stage for a grand parade. Starting in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, masked figures, traditional Tuscan characters, and colorful costumes weave through the streets, culminating in Piazza della Signoria. Awards for the best masks, including the coveted Stenterello 2025 prize, add a competitive yet festive spirit to this cultural highlight.
Celebrate Florence’s rich history, immerse yourself in Renaissance grandeur, and witness the city’s joyful embrace of its vibrant heritage.
