Through August, the Roman theatre at Fiesole — carved into the hillside in the first century, with a view of the valley and Florence below — continues the Estate Fiesolana festival. Concerts begin as the sun drops. The walk up takes twenty minutes and arrives at a setting that makes the journey self-evident. Twenty minutes from the city and an entirely different atmosphere.
