Fortezza da Basso. June 16–19, 2026

Pitti Uomo 110 brings the men’s fashion world to Fortezza da Basso for four days of trade shows and presentations each June. The professional programme is dense and largely accredited. What’s visible from outside is the effect on the city: the Oltrarno streets, the piazzas around Santa Croce, the aperitivo bars along Borgo San Frediano fill with a crowd Florence rarely attracts, and the city accommodates it with characteristic composure.
The headline this edition is Simone Rocha, presenting her first standalone menswear collection at the Teatro della Pergola on June 18 — one of the most beautiful historic theatres in Florence, and a venue that makes the argument about why Pitti happens here and not elsewhere. DSM Kei Ninomiya makes its runway debut on the same evening; Sunflower follows earlier in the day. South Korean designer JiyongKim installs at the Fortezza itself, around the signature Sun-Bleach technique of leaving fabrics exposed to natural weather conditions until they are, in a sense, made by the city as much as the designer.
Outside the gates, the Pitti Peacocks assemble. The street style crowd that gathers during Pitti week — men dressed with a confidence that ranges from the deeply considered to the genuinely baroque, performing for photographers and for each other — has no real equivalent in fashion. It is simultaneously sincere and entirely self-aware, and in its way the most Florentine thing about the whole week: a city that has always understood that how you present yourself is a form of argument, not vanity.
