"Abitazione offers a sensorial immersion, where art, architecture, and intimacy converge to create an experience as refined as it is personal."

In the Northern edge of Florence is our Abitazione building, a modern tribute to Florence’s rich tapestry of artistic heritage. Our design is one of contrasts, a blend of the city’s age-old charm with today’s aesthetics, a restored building of decadent frescos, baroque portraits, velvet furniture, and a feeling of palatial spaciousness unique in our city.
Let our elevator take you to your residence, and let our curators arrange experiences to befit your surroundings.

Adorned with classical art and architecture; these are modern spaces to enjoy whether you want to cook, read or finally finish that novel.
With all the modern kitchen equipment you need, why not take some time to bake the things you might not normally have time for? After all, a kitchen which opens into a living area is ideal for those with less than perfect attention spans.
Our local curators are experts in the city, and that means more than geographical expertise, but gastronomic also. Undecided on the show-stopping Jeroboam? Need some local advice on the Chambertin or Brunello di Montalcino ? You only need ask.
The frescos in our buildings are restored Florentine masterpieces and as such, carry their own unique style while continuing the key themes of symmetry, light and romanticism.
Find a residence which sets your mind wondering.
Florence may be known for its art and food, but it is also a city which offers shops of equal style. From antiquities and art to leather and food markets, every neighbourhood in Florence has new areas to browse.
Look up.
Many of our ceiling spaces feature professionally resorted frescos showcasing rich colour, intricate pattern and trompe l’oeil detailing typical of the period. No two frescos are identical, adding classical character to each residence.
Our Abitazione is a concerto of light. Most residences have 5.5-meter ceilings, with doors and windows that open out to a private terrace. Follow the sun, morning to night, as it bounces from mirrors and glass chandeliers. As the light moves through the building, it feels spirited, modern, almost energetic.
Florence is a city for food lovers, and we have designed and equipped every kitchen with everything you need to prepare an aperitivo or four course feast.
Each residence has its own unique outdoor space, to enjoy the temperate climate and stunning views of Tuscany every day.
No residence has a matching floor. They are a mixture of Cocciopesto Venezano mosaic flooring and elegant hardwood, lovingly restored, piece-by-piece.
Where better to enjoy the views of Florence than our building’s private rooftop, available to all guests. Watch the sunrise, spy the distant hilltops, and absorb yourself into the gentle echo of a not-too-distant neighbourhood.

Our Architect: SpaceStudio
Our Abitazione is a harmonious blend of late 19th century architecture and traditional Florentine detail from the 16th and 17th centuries. The area is rich in history, and was itself part of the Tuscan Renaissance when architect Giuseppe Poggi led the transformation of the city, the area, and our neighbours, Viali di Circonvallazione and Piazza della Libertà.
Today we are part of our own Florentine renaissance. Space Studio has carefully preserved our building’s original noble character, restoring our frescos and paintings, and refurbishing the enchanting Cocciopesto Veneziano flooring. Our Abitazione now seamlessly balances contemporary comfort with historic opulence.
Our Interior Designers: RecDi8
Uniting the Renaissance, baroque and neoclassical with modern and contemporary styles, our Abitazione is a miniature of Florence itself.
The focus is on light, order, symmetry, and space, contrasted with the rich velvets and damasks typical of Florence’s opulent history. Here contemporary luxuries shine through, while showcasing our rich cultural past. Never excessive or overloaded, with beauty and functionality in mind.
