Each May, the Valley of the Roses Festival transforms the arid landscape of Kelaat-M’Gouna into a fragrant, pink-hued spectacle. Located roughly four and a half hours outside Marrakech, this annual celebration marks the arrival of the Damask rose harvest with an energy that is both ancient and electric. For those seeking the soul of the Maghreb, it is a mesmerizing invitation to witness nature’s beauty at its peak.

Over two vibrant days, the festival unfolds with traditional Berber performances, where local tribes showcase rhythmic dances, traditional music, and dramatic sword maneuvers. Between sampling delicacies from local street vendors, visitors can watch the iconic parade of floral floats carrying the nominees for ‘Ms. Roses’ through the cheering crowds.
