Ouzoud Waterfalls, 150 km northeast of Marrakech. Full day excursion.

Two and a half hours northeast of Marrakech, the Ouzoud Waterfalls drop over a hundred metres through red limestone gorges into a pool below. In early summer, fed by the last of the winter snowmelt and spring rainfall, the flow is near its annual peak. Barbary macaques move along the clifftops. Local families use the terraces below. The walk down takes twenty minutes; the walk back takes longer than expected…
