All the rooms but one at This Time Tomorrow in Marrakech encircle the first floor and each take a whole wing of the house. Above them the multilevel terrace is the house’s crowning glory, a well-planned chill zone with expansive views over the medina all the way to the mountains. Unlike the social courtyard, the roof terrace is designed for intimate moments: a long lingering breakfast under the pergola, post-prandial snooze beneath the sail tent on the viewing platform, or lazy afternoon on the loungers buried in a book. The neighbourhood of Kaat Benahid is named after a wealthy textile merchant and still harbours traditional trading houses called foundouks. The oldest neighbourhood in the medina, it’s a warren of winding alleys that rapidly disappear into the heart of the souk. But behind the drapes of the riad, there's an intimate marble hammam in the spirit of a Marrakech home. It occupies a discreet corner of the riad and consists of a state-of-the art steam room in which to relax and let natural olive soap soften the skin, a harara (hot room) with a marble bed where exfoliation takes place, and a relaxation area with cushioned loungers looking out at the courtyard where guests can rest and rehydrate when finished. There's an in-house chef who prepares traditional three-course meals for guests each night, designing a personal menu that changes with the seasons.
